University College is USC Upstate’s home for our academic support services and special academic programs, including the Student Success Center, Honors Program, Center for International Studies, the Service Learning and Civic Engagement Program and dual enrollment programs including the Scholars Academy, a specialized college program for gifted high school students.
The mission of University College is to help students succeed in their studies, to create an exceptional learning experience for students committed to academic excellence, to provide students with high-impact experiential learning opportunities in support of their employment objectives, and to prepare students to be successful in the increasingly internationally diverse local economy that exists in the Upstate region of South Carolina.
Our vision is for every graduate of USC Upstate to have an experiential learning opportunity during their time at USC Upstate, whether it be service learning, study abroad, internship, or collaboration on research or creative endeavors with Upstate faculty.
