Administration and Student services
USC Upstate Greenville Campus provides a wide array of student services in the Administration and Student Support Services Office (Suite B1). Staff provide direct services to students and coordinate individual student needs with service providers from the USC Upstate Spartanburg Campus who visit Greenville routinely. Students may order their books online and have them shipped directly to their home. Free shipping is available on all orders! Students may also purchase books from the USC Upstate Bookstore on the main campus.
The USC Upstate Spartanburg Campus offers a full recreation program – from a long list of intramural sports to various fitness programs – that is sure to fit even the busiest of college student schedules. With the opening of the Spartan Rec Center, USC Upstate expanded the facilities for use by students with an eight-lane pool, two gymnasiums, weight room, fitness studio, racquetball courts, and indoor running/walking track.
We also have outdoor recreation equipment available for rental. The Spartan Recreation program is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles for the campus community by providing safe, enjoyable and educational activities for faculty, staff and students. A valid USC Upstate student ID is necessary for admission to the Spartan Rec Center, league play and equipment rental.
Career advising is provided by faculty in professional programs on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus. Appointments can be made with career advisors on both the USC Upstate Spartanburg and Greenville campuses.

USC Upstate Greenville Campus students can upload their photo for the Carolina Card directly into Self-Service Carolina (SSC), the student portal for USC Upstate. Email Rosie Meindl to receive tips on how to take and upload your official photo or visit the Administration and Student Support Services office (Suite B1).
The Center for International Studies (CIS) encourages all students on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus to consider study abroad options for semester, summer, and year-long programs. In addition, students who have a global perspective are invited to join the International Club and to participate in the “Upstate Global Ambassadors” program, which provides connections with international students at USC Upstate. The Center sponsors the following events and activities on the Greenville Campus:
- An annual Study Abroad Fair to promote study abroad programs;
- Student advisement for international programs by appointment on the Greenville Campus;
- CIS personnel to provide classroom presentations on study abroad upon request by Greenville Campus faculty

Personal, career and group counseling as well as LD and ADHD testing is available at the USC Upstate Greenville Campus by appointment. Contact Counseling Services at (864) 503-5195 to schedule an appointment.
Distance Counseling is available to all currently enrolled USC Upstate students and students who are enrolled in the USC Upstate Palmetto College (majors included: Health Informatics, Information Management & Systems, Criminal Justice, and Nursing). Distance Counseling is a counseling session with a trained and certified counselor that is conducted over a private and secure web-based method. To utilize this service, you will need access to a device with a webcam and a microphone. The Dean of Students for USC Upstate is on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus for judicial hearings and other meetings as needed by students and faculty.
The Office of Disability Services works to ensure access for all USC Upstate students. Students on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus may contact the Administration and Student Support Services office at 864-503-5199 to request a meeting with staff. Depending on the student's preference and staff member availability, staff may travel to the USC Upstate Greenville Campus, may connect via web cam or may set up a telephone appointment.
Staff prefer to meet face-to-face with students accessing services at least once per academic year. Materials may be sent between the Spartanburg and Greenville campuses via a courier service three days per week, or documents may be scanned and sent via email. Students may contact staff in the Administration and Student Support Services Office on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus to access the courier service, for alternative testing accommodations, and other accommodations as determined by Disability Services.

A transfer advisor is available on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus to meet with prospective students about the admissions process. Prospective students may call 864-552-4187 to make an appointment to meet with the transfer advisor. The transfer advisor is available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until noon.
Transfer Tuesdays are held on select Tuesdays to help students with the admissions, financial aid, and course planning process. Transfer orientation and registration sessions are offered each semester, during which new students on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus receive information about student services, meet with advisors, and register for classes. Advisors for the professional programs from the Mary Black School of Nursing, School of Education, Johnson College of Business and Economics, and College of Arts and Sciences are available on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus during orientation. Advisors for programs such as interdisciplinary studies, engineering technology management, information management and systems, and business administration are on campus to meet with students by appointment.

The Office of Financial Aid schedules a financial aid counselor to be on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus routinely. Staff on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus are always willing to facilitate problem-solving for students. Health Services provides the opportunity for students to get flu shots and TB tests on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus. Student can access all health services at the USC Upstate Spartanburg Campus.

The ITS Helpdesk assists faculty, staff, and students in accessing technology. During the semester, Help Desk assistance is available by phone Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Students, faculty, and staff on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus can call 864-552-4269, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit the ITS website for helpful tips and information. Walk-in support is available Mondays and Wednesdays in the University Center Greenville Library, Room 141G.

The USC Upstate Library maintains both a physical and electronic presence at the USC Upstate Greenville Campus. The physical library provides individual and group study areas. There are virtual computers with GreenSky access for USC Upstate students. USC Upstate library faculty are physically present on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus on a regular schedule to help students develop research skills using the more than 200 databases available online and to teach information literacy to students enrolled in classes at Greenville. The library faculty also maintain virtual office hours when they are not on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus. The virtual office hours offer communication via telephone, e-mail, chat, text and Adobe Connect.

Parking on Campus
Parking permits are encouraged for USC Upstate Greenville Campus. Staff and students who will visit or attend classes on the USC Upstate Spartanburg Campus must have a parking decal. Parking decals are available in the USC Upstate Greenville Campus Administration and Student Support Services Office (Suite B1). Be prepared to show your current registration, current proof of car insurance and your driver’s license. This information, along with the parking decal you are issued, is scanned to the University Police on the USC Upstate Spartanburg Campus to be kept on file.

A SNAC (Spartan Nutritional Assistance Campaign) Food Pantry on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus provides food, nutritional information and other basic necessities to USC Upstate Greenville Campus students in need. The pantry is located in the kitchen near the back parking lot entrance (behind the USC Upstate offices).

SGA senators are appointed to represent the USC Upstate Greenville Campus. SGA Officers meet monthly in Greenville with student senators to discuss issues and initiatives.

Activities for students include welcome back events in fall and spring, Fall Festival, Spring Fling, Exam Study Breakers, Lunch with the Chancellor, Grad Fair, Non-Traditional Student Lunch and Learns, Upstate on Main, and more. Students are notified of events and how to sign up to participate in them by email. Students interested in serving on the planning committee for USC Upstate Greenville Campus activities should contact Vicki Corn, Director of Student Services.

Tuition payments are paid online though Self-Service Carolina (SSC) using a credit card or an e-check or at the Cashiers Office on the USC Upstate Spartanburg Campus. For credit card payments, a 2.5% convenience fee is assessed. There are no fees for using the e-check option. Tuition Payment Plans may be established through SSC. A deposit of 25% of your tuition plus a $75 non-refundable fee is required to initiate a payment plan. The remaining 75% of your tuition will be divided into three monthly installments.
