Alumni Board of Directors
The mission of the University of South Carolina Alumni Board of Directors is to be an advisory board to the institution and to other alumni. The primary purpose of the Board is to serve as a body by which all who have attended USC Upstate can maintain some connection with the University. Those appointed as Board members shall exhibit these qualifications: Leadership ability, commitment to USC Upstate, involvement in Association activities, a willingness to serve the Board and a history of financial support of the institution. Executive Council members shall have served a minimum of one term on the Board prior to election or appointment to this committee.The Alumni Board of Directors is the governing body of our Alumni Association and makes decisions for our Alumni Association scholarship recipients and Distinguished Alumni Award.

Attending Upstate also gave me the opportunity to take my first ever plane ride when I studied aboard in London. Other benefits included: being a Student Ambassador, member of the Opportunity Network and also joining an amazing Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta.

Additional Information: A part of the USC Upstate community for more than a 20 years, Calloway stabilized a volleyball program that had seven coaches in a nine-year period when she took over at age 23 in 1996.
