Spartan Safe Start for Faculty and Staff
Over the summer, USC Upstate will be carefully coordinating a gradual expansion of on-campus operations in a four-phased plan, welcoming back to campus faculty and staff in the safest manner possible, and in anticipation of students returning in August for the Fall term. Phase 1 of the university’s return-to-work plan will be implemented between June 1 and June 21. During Phase 1, departments will bring not more than 30% of their workforce back, and the university will train supervisors on health and safety guidelines and protocols. The Phase 2 implementation period will run between June 22 and July 13, and Phase 3 will be implemented between July 14 and August 3. The final phase will introduce the start of the new academic year.
Details regarding each phase will be published by the university’s COVID-19 Response Team. During this time, employees should not report to campus unless they have been specifically notified to do so by their supervisor.
