During the next few years, esports is anticipated to become a multi-billion dollar industry that will continue to attract some of the brightest and most innovative minds on the planet. USC Upstate's new esports program will enable you to compete against the best players around the globe from our new gaming center housed within our Health Education Complex that features 45 of the best Alienware computers and equipment on the market.
USC Upstate intends to create a varsity program by the Fall 2022 semester. But opportunities will be available for every student as esports will be introduced as a club activity in Spring 2021. The varsity program will initially compete in three games: “League of Legends,” “Valorant” and “Rocket League.” A range of other games will be available to club players and the university plans to continue to grow those options over time.
