Teaching with Accessibility in Mind
The Access Committee is pleased to announce the summer 2018 opportunity to enroll in our course for Upstate faculty and teaching staff on Teaching with Accessibility in Mind. This course (Co-sponsored with the Department of Learning Technologies) will build upon our prior workshops with opportunities to extend learning and work with actual course materials. We are offering 2 different opportunities to enroll – one 2-day intensive session, and 1 online summer session that is a bit more self-directed. Participants who complete the course will receive affirmation in the form of a certificate suitable for inclusion in review files for documentation of teaching; as well as notification and appreciation to their department head.
Consider your preferences and select:
- May 14-15, 9:00 – 4:00 p.m., Admin. 104 – This is a face-to-face experience that features intensive hands-on consultation. Participants who choose this option should bring devices and actual course materials for the afternoon workshop times. We have developed scenarios based on actual questions we have received in our prior sessions and will be working with simulations of learning difference to enhance the experience.
- A more self-directed and all online opportunity during the month of June. Opportunity for individual consultation will be offered, but not required.
