Academic Affairs Committee
The Academic Affairs Committee is composed of one representative named by each academic unit. The Registrar serves as an ex officio member. The Academic Affairs Committee considers and recommends to the Faculty Senate action on all requests for the addition, modification, or deletion of undergraduate and graduate curricular programs and coursework.
The Committee considers matters concerning undergraduate and graduate academic requirements and standards, and reviews current policies and practices to make recommendations to the Faculty Senate. The Committee also considers faculty petitions for grade changes and of students seeking relief from University scholastic regulations, following the recommendations of the appropriate unit administrator.
COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The AAC meets on a monthly basis to review proposed curricular changes. As the agenda items increase in the spring semester, the committee meets more frequently in order to meet catalogue submission deadlines.
