Self-Assessment Assignment

Here we provide templates for guided self-assessment of the NACE career competencies. 

Please ask your students to complete this assignment AFTER they have completed their service for your course. Please collect all responses and submit them by the end of the week grades are due to the Registrar's office. Templates for each competency are available at the bottom of this page


Here's a sample: 

For this assignment, you will do a self-evaluation based on critical thinking/problem solving as defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. 

Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: 
Exercise sound reasoning to analyze issues, make decisions, and overcome problems. The individual is able to obtain, interpret, and use knowledge, facts, and data in this process, and may demonstrate originality and inventiveness.

Self-assessment is an important life skill, so please be honest in your observation of your own strengths as well as areas in which you may need to improve. Be specific.
A key purpose of this activity is to encourage learning, development, and growth. 

CRITICAL THINKING/PROBLEM SOLVING

In your service, how consistently did you exercise sound reasoning to analyze issues, make decisions, and/or overcome problems in your service? Did you make good decisions?
