Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pay for summer classes at Upstate?
You may pay tuition in the Self Service Carolina portal (SSC). We accept credit cards or electronic checks. If you are degree seeking at Upstate and have applied for financial aid for summer it will be used to help pay your tuition. Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid at USC Upstate.
How do summer classes impact financial aid and who should I talk with about my financial aid?
Any hours completed in summer school will count toward hours earned for scholarships and for satisfactory academic progress. If you are seeking a degree at Upstate you must apply for summer financial aid in the SSC portal. If you are a new degree-seeking student at Upstate you will need to complete a FAFSA for the current school year. Is there a limit to how many classes I can take this summer?
Students may take two courses in each session of summer school.
