University Marketing and Communications
The Office of University Marketing and Communications is the central marketing and communication team for the University of South Carolina Upstate. Our focus is on building awareness, increasing visibility and enhancing support for the institution.
The UMC team includes University Communications, Brand and Visual Communications, and Multimedia Production. The units each provide unique tools, but work as one cohesive team to serve internal and external audiences by providing a variety of resources. We are brand strategists, writers, editors, web designers, graphic artists, photographers, videographers, and social media, media and public relations professionals.
UMC tells the story of the USC Upstate through a variety of platforms. We do this by working closely with our campus partners to accomplish communication and marketing goals while maintaining the integrity of the institution’s brand.
The Project Request Form will gather important details about your needs so we can determine whether we are able to take on the request, as well as deliver a strong product. When completing this form, please complete all sections and include details such as your specific goals, target audience, timeline, total budget and other important aspects of your project.
For print and design projects, please factor in time for production, proofing, and printing in your schedule. Typically, a minimum of four weeks for design, print and delivery is required. Your request will be reviewed in the order it is received, and you will be contacted about your project to discuss further details. Requests are dependent upon university priorities, timing and capacity.
The Submit A Story Form will inform University Marketing and Communications about the individual stories that collectively make USC Upstate such a special place. Great things are always happening at USC Upstate because caring, dedicated people like you take the time to ensure they do. Stories unite us and reflect our pride and purpose. Whether it’s about faculty, staff or students, let us know so we can help celebrate our people.
If you have questions about a project request or story suggestion that has been submitted, please contact Jessica Blais who can answer questions or provide status updates. Thank you in advance for your contributions.
We look forward to working with you!
