To schedule Admin 116, please contact Teresa Truesdale at 864-503-5564. You will also need to complete the Distance Education Classroom Request Form for scheduling approval. 

Smart Classroom Installation, Support and Maintenance

Currently, Media Services maintains 107 smart classrooms, 9 distance learning classrooms, 27 enhanced classrooms, and Media Services staff also troubleshoot audiovisual equipment problems. To familiarize yourself with operation of the equipment in a typical smart classroom, please refer to the Smart Classroom Technology Instructions. To request new classroom equipment or upgrades to existing classroom equipment, please review the Classroom AV Equipment Request Policy. To report equipment problems with any Media Services supported classroom, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 864-503-5257.

Distance Education Facilities

USC Upstate has four distance education classrooms on the Spartanburg main campus: HEC 2002, HEC 2037, Library 002 (Tukey Theatre) and Media 217, two classrooms at the George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics in downtown Spartanburg: JCBE 160 and 110 and three classrooms at the University Center in Greenville : UCG 117, 119 and 125.

For scheduling HEC 2002, please contact the School of Education and for scheduling HEC 2037, please contact the School of Nursing. To schedule the Tukey Theatre, please contact the Registrar’s Office. To schedule Media 217, please contact Informatics. For scheduling JCBE 110 or 160, please contact the George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics. For scheduling UCG 117 or 125, please contact the USC Upstate office located in the University Center in Greenville.

In addition to distance education classrooms, USC Upstate has seven conference rooms with video conferencing. These conference rooms are Admin 102 (ITS), Admin 201A (Commission Conference Room), Buroughs (International Studies), CLC 303 (Student Affairs), Media 234 (CETL), Media 324 (Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Women’s Studies), and River St. in Greenville (Urban & Regional Studies). While not scheduled for classes, these conference rooms may be reserved for video conference meetings, but approval of the office listed in parentheses is required.

Distance Learning Courses

USC Upstate offers access to USC undergraduate and graduate distance learning courses delivered online using Adobe Connect and in HD using Polycom Telepresence.
