Nadia Theodore was named Canada’s consul general for the U.S. Southeast in August 2017. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Theodore joined the Canadian civil service in 2000. She has held leadership positions on several trade initiatives of Global Affairs Canada, served at her country’s Permanent Missions to the World Trade Organization and United Nations, and was chief of staff and executive director to Canada’s deputy minister for international trade. Theodore earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and a Master of Arts degree in political science from Carleton University in Canada.
